"the angel -rose coloured glasses" is both an installation and a state of mind through which Angel‑Rose Oedit Doebé reclaims visibility and space. Her body of work stems from this perspective, which she describes as “the angel-rose coloured glasses,” a way of seeing in which pop culture, activism, and camp come together. Instead of adapting to a society not designed for her, she created a world of her own.

From that perspective, camp, pop culture, and sociopolitical issues merge, often in the form of an installation. Angel‑Rose Oedit Doebé aims to offer the viewer a unique insight into themes such as colonialism and marginalisation. “My installations are pretty in your face, loud, flamboyant,” she explains. “I work a lot with pink, glitter, rhinestones and sequins. It is a palette people tend to dismiss as silly or bimbo like, but how superficial is it really? I use those elements deliberately as a statement, to counter the negative associations attached to them. And besides, they are references that people with less knowledge of art can recognise just as easily."
